Edinburgh is a charming city with a variety of activities to do, and you don't have to spend a fortune to do so. You will never be bored, especially if you follow our recommendations below.

With a massive collection of over 12 million items, the National Museum in Edinburgh showcases plenty of interesting aspects of Scottish history, culture, science, technology and more. No matter what you study and what your interest are, you will find something new and insightful at the Museum.

Farmers Market
Edinburgh has not one, not two, but three farmers markets that happen on different days and in different parts of town! There you will find fresh fruit, veg, fish/meat and specialty produce, local delicacies... Check out where and when you can find the following farmers markets:
1- 📍Castle Terrace, every Saturday from 9am to 2pm
2- 📍Stockbridge (Saunders Street) every Sunday from 10am to 4pm
3- 📍Grassmarket (near the Royal Mile), every Saturday from 10am to 5pm
Cramond Island
Cramond Island is more than worth visiting thanks to its' fascinating nature- being a tidal island just outside of Edinburgh. This means that the island becomes such when the tides ride, but is connected to the mainland when the tide is low.
If planning a trip to Cramond island, please make sure you carefully check the expected tide patterns for the day. And once there, don't forget to head back in time before the tide rises again.
