Make parcel pick ups easy

As the winter season rolls in and the countdown to Christmas begins, it’s time to start thinking about all those parcels that are about to land on your doorstep (or in your case, your uni halls). Whether you’re getting your Christmas presents sorted early or ordering those last-minute essentials, we know how much of a hassle it can be to juggle parcels with your already-packed schedule.

To save on the load there are a couple of different options to choose from when getting your parcels delivered.

Amazon / InPost lockers

Amazon lockers and InPost lockers are perfect for ensuring you don’t miss a delivery while you're busy preparing for the holidays or finishing up assignments. However, they can get full very quickly during this time, so make sure if you do this to collect your parcel early.

Search for your nearest InPost locker.

Other local parcel shops

Another option is to have your parcels delivered to a local parcel shop. Services like these let you send packages to local convenience stores or dedicated collection points, making it easier to grab them whenever you’re free.

Send it home instead

If you’re planning on heading home for Christmas and don’t want to cart everything back with you, send your parcels to a parent or guardian’s house. This way, you can enjoy a smooth, stress-free holiday without worrying about lugging everything back home.

When ordering and receiving parcels, make sure to:

  • Address it correctly with your proper name
  • If it's being delivered by a different courier, know that you are responsible for it
  • Pick it up as soon as you can once it is delivered, don't let your parcel collect dust
  • Respect staff when picking it up

Don't miss the last posting dates for Christmas, make sure your post arrives on time.
